SCENE & BE SEEN* THE REAWAKENING

I braved the heat yesterday to check out The Reawakening: Series One.  Super sexy location MC Gallery, The Reawakening exhibited the works of Artists for Humanity, Awol Erizky, Jessica Dela Merced, Joanne Petit Frere,  Felipe Baeza and Iyadede.

I had a great conversation with Joanne who not only took me through the creative processes of her work but whose spirit was refreshing and humble.  As a woman of Haitian descent, Joanne used her experience in hair braiding to channel it in to beautiful works of art.  Such a raw talent!

I can’t wait till the next one.
